Overview of the Department  

The Department of Construction provides practical and theoretical training in building construction, civil works, and infrastructure development. It equips trainees with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required to plan, design, construct, and maintain residential, commercial, and public structures. The program emphasizes competency-based training, workplace learning, and safety standards, preparing graduates to meet the demands of the modern construction industry.

Long Term Training

  1. Building Electrical Installation Level I – V
  2. Plumbing Installation Level I – V
  3. Structural Construction work Level I – V
  4. Finishing Construction Works Level I – V
  5. Road construction & Maintenance Level I – V

Short Term Training

  1. Structural Cons. Work (Concrete Block and Pipe Production)
  2. Structural Construction Work (Terrazzo Tile Production)
  3. Finishing Construction Work  (Tilling Work)
  4. Bar bending and concreting 
  5. Formwork and Concrete Casting
  6. Finishing construction (Gypsum work)
  7. Basic and special painting
  8. Finishing construction (plastering)

Laboratory and Workshop Facilities

  • Building Construction Workshop – for masonry, carpentry, and formwork practice
  • Material Testing Laboratory – for testing soil, cement, aggregates, and concrete strength
  • Drawing and Design Studio – for CAD drawing and structural design exercises
  • Safety Training Area – for on-site simulation and personal protective equipment (PPE) use

Certification & Duration

  • Level I – V (TVET) or Diploma in the field of study occupations
  • Certification: National TVET Certificate awarded by CoC (Certificate of Competence) after assessment
  • Duration:
    • Regular (Day) Program: 1–3 years depending on level
    • Extension(Night or Weekend) Program: 2–4 years (part-time) depending on level

Short-term Courses:- few days to 3 months (skill upgrading or specialization)
