Safeguarding and Inclusion

Ethio-Italy Polytechnic College (EIPC) is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and professionally responsible learning and working environment. Safeguarding, inclusion, and safety standards are integral to everything we do—across training workshops, classrooms, laboratories, offices, and community-based activities.

The College believes that quality technical and vocational education must be delivered in an environment where personal safety, dignity, and well-being are fully protected. For this reason, EIPC upholds clear safeguarding principles and applies recognized safety and work standards in all academic and operational activities.

Safeguarding at EIPC focuses on preventing harm, abuse, discrimination, and exploitation, particularly for students, youth, and vulnerable individuals. The College maintains a zero-tolerance approach to sexual harassment, violence, and any behavior that undermines human dignity. Safe and confidential reporting mechanisms are in place, ensuring concerns are handled with care, fairness, and respect.

Inclusion is a core value of the College. Ethio-Italy Polytechnic College works to ensure equal access to education and participation regardless of gender, disability, socio-economic background, or cultural identity. We actively address barriers to learning and promote an environment where diversity is respected and everyone is supported to succeed.

Safety and work standards are embedded in all training programs and daily operations. Students and staff are expected to follow established occupational health and safety practices, particularly in workshops, laboratories, construction sites, and field-based training. The College emphasizes the proper use of tools, machinery, and protective equipment, and promotes a strong culture of risk awareness and prevention.

Through practical instruction and hands-on training, students are taught to apply workplace safety standards that align with industry requirements. This ensures that graduates not only possess technical competence but also understand professional responsibility, safe working practices, and ethical conduct in real-world work environments.

Ethio-Italy Polytechnic College also promotes inclusive and safe working conditions for staff by fostering respectful professional relationships, clear codes of conduct, and continuous awareness on safety, safeguarding, and inclusion. Regular orientations and capacity-building sessions reinforce these standards across the institution.

Safeguarding, inclusion, and safety are shared responsibilities. All members of the College community—students, staff, partners, and visitors—are expected to uphold these values and contribute to a secure and respectful environment.

Through consistent application of safeguarding principles, inclusive practices, and recognized safety and work standards, Ethio-Italy Polytechnic College ensures a learning environment that prepares individuals not only for employment, but for responsible and ethical participation in the workplace and society.
