Teshome Shewaye is Vice Dean and Director of Research, Technology Transfer, and Industry Extension Services at Ethio-Italy Polytechnic College, Dire Dawa (2011–present). Previously, he served as V/Director, M&E Coordinator DDCSS (2007–2011) and Chief Instructor (2005–present). He holds MAs in Project Management (2023–2024) and TVET Leadership (2017–2018), A B.Ed. in Design & Drafting Technology (2004–2006), Kaizen certifications, specializing in ITT.
Short Office Description:
The Research, Technology Transfer, and Industry Extension Services (RTTIES) Directorate at Ethio-Italy Polytechnic College (EIPC) spearheads research, innovation, and technology transfer initiatives. It manages the Incubation and Innovation Center, fostering entrepreneurship, supporting startups, and promoting applied research solutions. RTTIES actively fosters partnerships with industries, government, and community stakeholders to facilitate technology adoption and innovation-driven development. By equipping operators of local enterprises/industries with extension services that enhance skills, productivity, competitiveness and regional economic growth. Through its integrated focus on research, incubation, and technology transfer, RTTIES serves as a catalyst for sustainable innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement in the region.
